Next time, choose a quieter hour and a table away from traffic. The goal is relaxed time together, not proving that an Italian Greyhound can sit in every fashionable venue.

If they repeatedly stand, hide or monitor every sound, move somewhere quieter. Do not attach the lead to a lightweight chair that could move after the dog. A successful visit is comfortable for the pet, you, staff and neighbouring guests. Leaving early can be the right outcome of the first attempt.
